Frequently asked questions -

Q. I know I can perform better, but I can't put my finger on what I have to do to achieve it?
A. Self-awareness of your preferred thinking style, patterns of behaviour and other factors, such as possible derailing behaviours, is often the first step to better performance. Most people are not fully aware of these as they are often automatic, sub-conscious factors.

Q. Why does development always involve a training course?
A. The short answer is that it doesn’t. However, training is the most frequently offered response to perceived development needs. Training courses have their uses, but do not always address the core issues at the heart of the developmental need.

Q. What's wrong with my gut feeling?
A. Maybe nothing, but evidence shows that you are up to 70% more likely to get the right person if you use an objective assessment process.

Q. I've read about assessment centres, but I don't want outsiders making selection decisions for us?
A. We highly advocate client involvement in all selection decisions. This can range from having organisational personnel on the selection panel through to having fully trained organisational personnel carrying out the full assessment process. In any event, we certainly wouldn’t want to be seen as outsiders.

Q. How can I be sure I'm offering the job to the right person?
A. Evidence shows that you are up to 70% more likely to get the right person if you use an objective assessment process.

Q. Are you going to mess with my head?
A. Not really, the aim is to empower you by giving you more awareness of yourself, your behaviours and their impact on others. Any change is down to you - we can assist, but only you can do it.
