Stage 4 Coaching -
The level and format of coaching provided is determined by the needs of the individual. We recognise that, although the individual takes control and responsibility for their own development, it is likely that they will need support in order to see the plan through to the achievement of their goals. Where appropriate, we look to include line managers in this stage as they are often in an ideal position to provide support and opportunities for the individual to pursue their development. The coaching that we provide can be combined with other measures already in place, such as mentoring or other existing schemes as applicable. If required, we can train or assist managers to coach their own staff and can incorporate this as part of the development plan. Coaching is provided for a set period after which the programme moves to Stage 5.
